Guitar extraordinaire Stanley Engelbrecht was born in Paternoster (A small fishing village on the west-coast of South-Africa). He started playing bass guitar at the age of 8years in church then he moved on to playing the guitar. Inspired by the jazz sounds of Jonathan Butler, Jimmy Dludlu, Alvin Dyers and Richard Ceaser, Stanley decided to pursue a solo career as a Jazz Artist specializing as a guitarist.

He’s been playing professionally in major South African Festivals like,The Macufe Jazz Festival(Bloemfontein) , Diamonds and Dorings(Kimberley) , Langleg festival (Kimberley) ,Writers festival (Kimberley) he also find him playing in various casinos like the Mbabane (Swaziland),The Warehouse (Namibia), Regal Plaza(Dubai), Flamingo Casino (Kimberley), Windmill Casino (Bloemfontein) and Naledi-Sun Casino (Thabanchu). He performed and shares stages with the likes of Temptations, Randy Crawford, Joe Sample, Angie Stone, Huge Masekela, Ray Phiri, Lira, Mango Groove, just to mention a few.

Stanley is currently specializing in Cape Ghoema music, Afro jazz, and Smooth Jazz. He is  working on his first smooth jazz album where he's featuring international artists such as Tony Exum Jr, Gregg Holsey, Patric Cooper, Yvonne

Jay, Dwayne"Smitty" Smith, David Dyson and many more. He's a very vibrant and energetic performer on stage and brings a mixture of African jazz and smooth jazz flavour which always keeps his audience on their feet.
